Ryan Spencer Reed's ArtPrize exhibit Despite Similarities To Reality. Reed was a final 20 artist at ArtPrize and his photos were exhibited in the Grand Rapids Art Museum. The photos document Reed's Cousin's army unit, The Band of Brothers battalion of today and their daily life.
ArtPrize winners Intersections by Anila Quayyum Agha and The Haircraft Project by Sonya Clark. This is the first year ArtPrize jurors agreed with the popular vote for Intersections. Agha and Clark split the $2000.00 juried grand prize. Agha was also awarded the $200,000 for the public grand prize.

He started his career in photography at Eastern Michigan University where he was the Photo Editor of the Eastern Echo. Potter also photographs weddings, events, and portraits. You may have heard him on his past overnight radio show 89.1 Jazz with Andrew Potter on WEMU Public Radio or seen him play guitar at the Detroit International Jazz Festival. Potter lives in Ferndale with his wife, Shanna, and his Rottweiler, Bowie.
